Annual Meeting of the GfeW
The GfeW is the world's oldest association of experimental economists. The society tries to create a forum where young scientists can gain experience by exchanging ideas with each other. The aim is to further establish experimental research as an important methodology in economics. Therefore, the Society strives to improve the conditions for successful experimental research wherever possible.
In their contribution at the annual meeting of the GfeW, Matthias Unfried, Michael Zürn and their co-author Elena Freisinger present results of their study "Threat rigidity or prospect theory? - Top managers' risk preferences under threats and opportunities". They show that top managers behave differently under risk than "normal" citizens.
