Manfred Scheske

Manfred Scheske has been with the NIM (previously: GfK Verein) since 1996, then as a member of the Advisory Board and since 2009 on the Members' Council, most recently as its Deputy Chairman. From August 2017 to mid-2018, he was Vice President and  from July 2018 to 2023 President of the association. In mid-2023, he was elected Honorary President by the General Assembly.
He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of NielsenIQ.


Manfred is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of infirst HEALTHCARE – an innovation-centric start-up with offices in the UK and USA.
Prior to starting infirst, Manfred has enjoyed a highly successful 25-year career with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he was latterly President of the European Consumer Healthcare Business and previously also President of GSK’s North American Consumer Business.
During his time at GSK, Manfred was involved in numerous switch projects in the USA as well as in Europe including the first-ever centralized procedure switch in Europe (orlistat). Manfred has served on the Boards of CHPA and CTFA in the US and AESGP in Europe. Manfred is currently a member of the Board of PAGB. Prior to his GSK career, Manfred held marketing roles with Pedegree Petfoods (Mars) and Jacobs Coffee (Kraft). He has a Business and economics degree from the University of Cologne.
