NIMCon 2024
At the NIMCon, the NIM opens its doors to scientific exchange: The NIMCon is an interdisciplinary conference on topics related to consumer behavior and consumer decisions. Researchers from universities and other research institutions come together to discuss the latest findings from (behavioral) economics, psychology, marketing, management, data science, artificial intelligence, and business informatics. The guests include renowned researchers as well as up-and-coming young scientists. Together with NIM experts, research results and innovative approaches related to the topic of market decisions are discussed.
The third NIMCon took place from September 22 to 24, 2024. The conference examined the determinants of individual decisions and their implications for markets, businesses, and society from various perspectives. This year’s core topics included sustainable consumption, social media, product innovations, and assisted shopping.
Among the distinguished guests were Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg), Prof. Dr. Patrick Cato (TH Ingolstadt), Dr. Florian Gasser (University of St. Gallen), Prof. Corinna Hempel (Albstadt-Sigmaringen University), Prof. Michael Jungbluth (TH Ingolstadt), Prof. Michail Kokkoris (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), and Prof. Alexander Piazza (Ansbach University).
