Dr. Manuel Cubero

Dr Manuel Cubero has been Chairman of the Members' Council of NIM since July 2019. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of United Internet AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Semper idem Underberg AG.

Thanks to his many years of experience as Chief Commercial Officer of Vodafone Germany and Chairman of the Management Board of Kabel Deutschland Holding AG, Manuel Cubero has built up extensive expertise in strategic issues and the implementation of company mergers. Since joining Kabel Deutschland in 2003, Dr Cubero has played a key role in shaping the success of Germany's largest cable network operator in various management positions. Following the takeover of Kabel Deutschland by Vodafone in 2014, he was appointed Managing Director of Vodafone Germany. He was also responsible for the entire residential customer business on all three infrastructures - mobile, cable and DSL, including TV and video. Before his time at Kabel Deutschland, he was Managing Director of the Kirch Group in the pay-TV sector, a personnel consultant at Egon Zehnder International and founder of an internet start-up. Dr Cubero holds a doctorate in physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt and received his MBA from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau. Today, Dr Cubero supports the strategic transformation of companies as a member of various supervisory boards/advisory boards.
