Senior Researcher - Consumer Climate
Dr. Anja Bauer
Anja Bauer supports Rolf Bürkl in analysing and reporting on the consumer climate since 2025. As Senior Researcher - Consumer Climate, she supports the conceptual development of the consumer climate through in-depth analyses of consumer sentiment in Germany and internationally.
With a doctorate in economics, she is particularly interested in topics relating to the economy, the labour market and consumption.
She previously worked for over 10 years in the macroeconomic department of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB). Among other things, she was responsible for the ‘IAB's assessment of the economic situation’ and contributed to the Institute's economic forecasts.
